Our Mission

At ArmyBodyFatCalculator.com, our mission is to provide accurate, up-to-date resources for soldiers, recruits, and anyone interested in meeting the U.S. Army’s fitness and body composition standards. We understand the importance of physical readiness in military service and aim to make these standards accessible and understandable to all.

Our website offers comprehensive calculators for both the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) and the Army Body Composition Program (ABCP), ensuring you have the tools you need to assess your current fitness level and track your progress toward meeting or exceeding Army standards.

Whether you’re preparing to join the Army, currently serving, or simply interested in military fitness standards, our goal is to be your go-to resource for accurate information and practical tools.

Why Army Fitness Matters

Physical fitness is a cornerstone of military readiness. The Army’s fitness standards are designed to ensure that soldiers are prepared for the physical demands of combat and military operations. The ACFT, implemented in 2020, represents a significant evolution in how the Army assesses physical readiness, moving from the previous three-event test to a more comprehensive six-event assessment that better correlates with the physical demands of modern warfare.

Similarly, the Army Body Composition Program ensures that soldiers maintain a healthy body composition that supports both performance and long-term health. These standards are not arbitrary but are based on extensive research into the physical requirements of military service and the health implications of body composition.

Meeting these standards is not just about passing a test—it’s about developing the physical capabilities that enable soldiers to perform their duties effectively and safely, while reducing the risk of injury and promoting long-term health.

Our Calculators

ACFT Calculator

Our ACFT Calculator allows you to input your performance in each of the six ACFT events and receive an accurate score based on the latest Army standards. The calculator takes into account your age and gender to provide the most accurate assessment possible.

The six events of the ACFT are:

3 Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL) – Measures lower body strength
Standing Power Throw (SPT) – Measures explosive power
Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP) – Measures upper body endurance
Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC) – Measures anaerobic capacity and strength
Plank (PLK) – Measures core endurance
Two-Mile Run (2MR) – Measures aerobic endurance
Our calculator provides not only your total score but also a breakdown of points earned in each event, allowing you to identify areas for improvement.

Body Fat Calculator

Our Body Fat Calculator implements the Army’s one-site tape test method for estimating body fat percentage. This calculator first checks if you meet the height/weight screening table standards. If not, it calculates your estimated body fat percentage based on your measurements and compares it to the maximum allowable percentage for your age and gender.

The calculator also takes into account the ACFT exemption, which allows soldiers who score 540 or higher on the ACFT (with at least 80 points in each event) to be exempt from the body fat assessment regardless of their weight.

By providing accurate calculations and clear results, our Body Fat Calculator helps you understand where you stand in relation to Army standards and what adjustments you might need to make to meet those standards.
